Two product types per ship

Most cruise lines run two blanket SKUs per ship: a deck throw (used on lounger chairs, returned to a deck steward) and a cabin amenity blanket (provided in passenger cabins, often replaced after each voyage). The two have different specs and laundering protocols.

Deck throws need to be heavier (320–380 GSM), salt-tolerant, and recover from outdoor exposure. We use solution-dyed polyester so the color won't fade in sun. Edges are double-folded and bar-tacked at the corners — they get washed every voyage, sometimes twice.

Cabin amenity blankets are lighter (240–280 GSM) and more about hand-feel and presentation. Often embroidered with the ship name or line crest in a corner. Some lines fold them with a wrap-paper band that carries the welcome message.

Programs we've shipped

Recent deliveries: 8,000 deck throws to a Mediterranean line (320 GSM solution-dyed coral fleece, embroidered ship crest), 24,000 cabin amenity blankets to a Caribbean operator (260 GSM jacquard polyester, woven ship-line border), and 12,000 reversible coral fleece / sherpa cabin throws to an Asia-Pacific premium line.

FAQ

Will the color hold up in sun and salt air? +
Yes — we use solution-dyed polyester for outdoor deck throws. The color is in the fiber rather than printed on, so it doesn't bleach under UV or fade with salt spray.
What's the typical MOQ for a cruise line order? +
Cruise programs usually run 5,000+ pieces per SKU, well above our 500-pc minimum. Embroidered ship crests add no MOQ premium.
Can you ship directly to a ship in port? +
Yes, we've coordinated ship-side delivery via the line's port logistics partner. We provide commercial invoices and certificates of origin per maritime customs requirements.
